The Five Themed Rooms of Stocking Full of Christmas

Every room is built as a set, and every room has live entertainment in it. This is what is behind each door.

Five rooms in one Carlsbad ballroom

The ballroom at Park Hyatt Aviara is built out each December into five themed rooms connected by decorated hallways. Your group of no more than forty-five moves through them in order, guided by an elf, with live entertainment waiting in each one. Two of the rooms are new or rebuilt for 2026. Questions about strollers, accessibility, or arrival are answered on the plan your visit page.

Rebuilt for 2026

The Red and Gold Grand Entry

The first room, and the one that sets expectations. It has been rebuilt for this season in red and gold, and it is where the journey begins in earnest after you have met your elf and picked up your stocking.

Think of it as the overture: the moment guests realize they are inside a production, not walking a display.

Bigger for 2026, and now it snows

The Frozen Forest

The Ice Queen performs here, live, for your group. The room is larger this year with new surprises and effects, and the confetti moment that guests loved last season returns with a Christmas twist: this year it snows indoors.

If you have one photo in mind before you arrive, it is probably this one.

III

Enhanced for 2026

Santa’s Toy Shop

The hands-on room. Guests build toys alongside the elves, and it is where children spend the most time actually doing something rather than watching.

It has been enhanced for this season. Grown-ups tend to get pulled in too.

IV

Mrs. Claus’s Confectionery

Mrs. Claus herself, and a cookie for every guest. It is the one treat included with admission, and the room is built to look the part.

Outside food is not permitted inside the experience, so this is the snack.

New for 2026

Santa’s Secret Living Room

A brand-new room that did not exist last season, added as part of the 2026 expansion. Returning guests will find it after the confectionery, and it is where the journey ends.

The journey ends with Santa himself. Climb into the sleigh for photos, hand over your wish list, and take a moment together before the evening closes. You take your own photos here, no package to buy. VIP guests enter each room first.

And the hallways in between

The rooms are where the performances happen. The themed hallways connecting them are where the stocking stuffers are handed out, all along the way.

That is how a child’s stocking ends up holding roughly $45 in gifts and treats by the last door. This season the hallways are refreshed too, with all-new stuffers throughout. The full twelve-moment walkthrough
